Solar Panels

Solar panels have recently become a popular eco friendly product. Due to the delicate process involved in their construction, advances in their technological make up did not take place until recent years. There are two types of silicon panels: crystalline and amorphous.

Crystalline silicon solar panels are thin and disk like and are create, then polished to correct any damage or to smooth out any imperfections. Dopants are added then spread across the disks which convert the electrical charge from the sun. The panels are then placed in a grid-like pattern and placed to face the sun to capture the solar rays.

Amorphous solar panels differ from crystalline in output and also their general makeup. They are created through a rolling process in which each layer absorbs different useful elements. They are more efficient than crystalline and are also thinner in structure but more durable, some even offer a shade resistant technology.
