Solar Power

Solar power is a way to convert solar energy into power that can be used to produce electricity and heat. It is an eco friendly option for producing a supply of power that is known to be one of the most useable sources of renewable energy. The discovery of ways to capture power from the sun has just recently become an option for consumers.

Solar power is captured through the use of panels. These panels can be made from either a crystalline silicon, or amorphous material which can then be placed on a rooftop or other location producing power for daily activities. While the efficiency level of these panels is increasing daily, there still have lots of room for improvement as the efficiency rate is only around twenty percent.

Solar power efficiency being in the twenty percent range means that it is an option that can and will be updated through technological advances. As with most things, technology is every changing. Scientists are developing different, and more efficient ways to produce solar energy, it is only a matter of time before technology will become efficient enough to sustain the everyday needs of consumers for a cheaper cost.
